Good that there is no TV on board!!! A very good boat for 4 persons. We enjoyed our time on board very much – only the weather could have been better. Staff is very friendly.

Die “38 Leisure” ist absolute traumhaft. Boot ist sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet, leicht zu haendeln. Lough Derg ist wunderschoen. Wir sehen uns naechstes Jahr auf jeden Fall wieder!

Fishing on Irelands River ShannonCruising Holidays in Ireland are perfect on the River Shannon which almost divides Ireland in two. The River has acted throughout history as a formidable barrier to movement from East to West while providing a marine highway from North to South. It is the longest river in both Ireland and Britain, with 750 km (almost 500 miles) of spectacularly scenic recreational waters stretching from Killaloe on the southern end of the river to the famous pottery village of Belleek in Northern Ireland. It has over a dozen lakes and more than a hundred small islands. It is joined on its journey by dozens of smaller rivers, canals and streams some of which are also navigable. The Shannon is now the backbone of a vast network of inland waterways, joined to the Erne via the newly restored Shannon-Erne waterway, formerly known as the Ballinamore and Ballyconnell Canal. Navigation is simple with the deep channel being marked to keep sailors on course. The Erne System has only 1 lock, the Shannon River has 6, which are all manned by Lock Keepers, and the Shannon-Erne Waterway has 16 automated locks which work on a 'swipe card' system. The Shannon Area is rich with a diverse range of pubs, restaurants, bars, and a wealth of sporting and leisure activities.

If you have something particular that you wish to see or do whilst river cruising in Ireland please mail us, we will do our best to get you information or make a booking for you.
